## Windows Update Restores Sign Out Button for Smoother User Experience

**From the Desk of Black Bear MSSP**

Microsoft's recent tweaks to the Windows 11 Start menu stirred up a bit of controversy, especially when users found that logging out wasn’t as straightforward as before. The change was meant to streamline the Start menu by grouping related settings together, but the new design tucked the “Sign Out” option behind a three-dot menu—adding an unexpected layer of confusion for anyone simply trying to log out.

After hearing user feedback, Microsoft has decided to revisit this design choice. They’re currently testing an update that will restore the sign-out button to a more familiar, easily accessible location. This is great news, especially for workplaces where multiple team members may share a single computer, making it easier and faster to switch between accounts.

The upcoming Windows 11 update will also introduce some handy new features beyond the return of the sign-out button. These include media controls on the lock screen for quickly adjusting music or video playback, as well as the ability to share files directly from search results—small but powerful updates that can streamline your team’s workflows and improve productivity.
