Secure your business email in three steps
3 tips for securing your business email!
Guess which part of your IT setup is most vulnerable?
91% of cyber attacks start with an email.
Here are three things you can do right now to make it harder for criminals to launch an attack on your business.
First of all, make sure your staff are trained on phishing scams – they’re the attack vector for most successful email attacks.
Have a training plan in place so that all staff know what to look out for, and be sure that they know how to react if they believe they may have fallen for a scam.
Next, verify your email account settings to ensure multi-factor authentication is enabled so that your identification is verified through another device such as a smart phone.
Always use business email. It has more protection than personal email, and its encryption protects your sensitive data while in transit.
Finally, have your staff utilize a password manager that creates random, impossible-to-guess passwords – and also remembers them, so your staff doesn't have to.
